Jacksons

The Jacksons were first called the Jackson 5 and were a high-energy family act that gained fame and popularity in the late 1960s and early part of the 1970s. This was boy band pop made up of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael and was popular for a mix of pop, soul and R ‘N’ B. Their first big shot to stardom was the hit song, “I Want You Back“, which topped the charts and such other hit songs as “ABC” and “I’ll Be There” began ruling the charts. The Jackson 5 impressed their critics and audience with their energetic performance, young talent and great charisma accorded them one of the most selling bands of all time. Their success also helped in laying the foundation on what Michael Jackson himself and the Jackson’s group enjoyed throughout their solo careers as well as carving made a mark in the history of pop. The Jacksons music still resonates with listeners today and their contributions are recognized as influential in the development of pop electronic sound and R&B.
